Apparently, the "camera loves me"! I just got done doing a photoshoot with Fortune Magazine. The article is on Gail our CEO, but a select few of us were in the background pretending to talk on cell phones, pdas, etc. Not sure when the article will run, but I'll be sure to post the pic when we get it. Should be funny!

Off to NYC for the weekend. I'll be picking up the Classic Cask and perhaps hitting a few clubs along the way. I must keep up this glamorous lifestyle. No autographs please.

Hmmm... I'm sensing a pattern here. Can't seem to sleep again. Apparently, this is my new blogging time. Well, the past week has been interesting to say the least:
  1. Had a bad case of food poisoning
  2. Struggled with insomnia all week
  3. Ever wonder what I would look like as an amish girl? Or my friend Melissa with badly died long hair?
  4. Attended Jeremy & Dara's wedding
    1. wild goose-chase for my 86 year-old Grampa Bud in the rain because my mother gave him the wrong directions (please note, correct exit number, completely wrong highway)
    2. only my mother is capable of breaking her toe while getting a pedicure
    3. my nephew Cayden is nearly as tall as I am (he's only 9 years old)
    4. my cousins Nicole & Nathan who I used to babysit are now in college & high school (boy do I feel old)
    5. After being ogled by straight men at the reception we tried an escape to Club 313... it was "Swingers Night" and I sure as hell don't mean swing dancing. Not sure which location was worse. Although, two fabulous dirty martinis for the price of one here in Boston certainly helped.
    6. Gained a wonderful new sister-in-law and someone to help keep my brother in line (okay, he's 6'6 so I'll settle for someone who can help give him grief)
  5. Played some bad email chess (I think I should stick to Scrabble)
  6. Went to the movies
    1. Spider-Man 2 at Jordan's IMAX - it almost made the movie bearable; although, being that close, you could tell that Toby Maguire was wearing contact lenses. It was entertaining nonetheless. That's all I really aim for with the movies.
    2. Cellular - I now have no fingernails left, I was on the edge of my seat the entire movie. And just so we all know... Kim Basinger is still hot, even as a hostage.
  7. Caught Bailey pissing in the bathtub yesterday morning (at least he did it over the drain)
  8. And I think my therapist actually looks forward to our weekly sessions (apparently, I'm quite entertaining - Isn't that called Dyke Drama?)
My alarm is set for 5:05AM, maybe I should just get up and go to work now. Hmmmm... do you think they would mind if I showed up in my new warm & fuzzy "Chilly Dog" pants? Probably not.

in·som·ni·a - n. - Chronic inability to fall asleep or remain asleep for an adequate length of time.

Who defines adequate length of time? One hour, two hours, three hours? You'd think all this counting would help me sleep. Well, I'm in the office and ready for another exciting day of search engine mania. At least I have two new CDs to keep me dancing in my own little fucked up universe.

Not sure why I didn't test this earlier, but I am now hijacking my neighbors wireless internet access. I could have sworn, I tried this... oh well, now I'm searching for a new puppy.

As I was donating blood today, the nurse would not stop complimenting me on my "dye" job. I finally had to burst her bubble that my hair color is all natural. So then she went on to discuss vacations and she informed me that she's traveling to Amsterdam. Thankfully, we still had something in common to discuss at that moment. An interesting experience to say the least.

Had dinner at Sato in Waltham Friday night. There was an employee with a stalky build, dyed hair in a pony tail, pretty much screaming mafia. He kept pacing back and forth in the restaurant with his arms crossed. At one point, I thought we were in a Jackie Chan movie. I kept waiting for someone to come crashing through the ceiling, wielding guns and demanding the release of some high powered diplomat. Of course, that was after three-quarters of a scorpion bowl.

I was on a hunt Saturday for a bridal shower gift for my soon-to-be-sister-in-law. I finally managed to pick up the coveted butcher block set, after, of course - not one, but TWO trips to Newbury Comics. Okay, so maybe I need to get into a musicaholic group. I also, picked up a new microwave, shoe rack and a CD rack (needed something to hold all my new CD's).

Sunday was entertaining... a bridal shower... NH style. Enough said. The young and oh-so-adorable Maddox didn't know what to do with all of us cackling women.

Had almost forgotten about the George T. Stagg. I will call my new pal, LeNell, and have her set me aside a couple of bottles. I think I might pick up some of her Black Maple Hill Rye as well. She said there is quite a bourbon & whiskey following in her area.

Also, five things to be happy about (yes, it's from my calendar)
  1. topiary
  2. biting into an ice-cream sandwich
  3. heavy cream-colored wool
  4. a clean locker
  5. fiery chili

Red Born Shoes
These are the four steps to ask yourself before acting:
  1. Is it necessary?
  2. Is it useful?
  3. Will I get hurt?
  4. Will someone else get hurt?
This is what you get for $100/hr. Now if I could only listen to my damn therapist.

On another note... I did buy some fabulous new Born shoes.

Eurotrash - Luke & GinaDo you know what it feels like to be reborn? Went to Avalon Sunday night and then ended the night(or should say Monday morning) at Rise (Boston's only private after-hours club). At 6AM when we left Rise, it felt like we were spit out into the world. My eyes were still trying to adjust to the crisp clean air after a night of being in a dark, foggy, warm haze. Still sweaty, the cool air clung to me, chilling me to the bone. I think that's as close as one can get to being reborn.

After an entertaining breakfast at Mike's Diner (thanks to the comical output of my friend Matt and "Flo" the naive waitress - Matt is still due back "at the home" where he is due for his daily medication), I finally strolled back to my house at 9:35AM.

Eurotrash - GinaIt has been a very, very long time since I have pulled an all-nighter like that. I can't say it was all that bad, though. I got my ass grabbed a few times and was ogled by several of the beautiful women in attendance (Although, I hate feeling like a used piece of meat). I was even mistaken for being European, as I was wearing my Holland jacket. I suppose with my fabulous dutch haircut, I could be mistaken as such.

I pretty much slept the entire day yesterday. I was supposed to cook dinner; but I opted for dinner out. We ate at John Harvard's. It was good comfort food. Now I'm back to work. At least it isn't a Monday. That would just plain suck.

Played nearly 3 hours of volleyball at the company outing. I'm a bit bruised and battered right now. To make me feel better, I visited my good friends at Belmont Nails - Yankee Pankee Plum is the color. It looks fabulous! But, the poor girl thought she was going to hurt me when it game time for the massage. Ouch.

I will say that I won the "good sport" award at the outting. It was a kodak moment really. Oh and I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow morning. It's a bit out of control right now. I'll be sure to post pics.

Did I mention, that Kimball Farm is famous for their ice cream! MMMMM! That makes me smile!

Played softball last night on a new league... Topaz Termites (I'm still wondering about the name too). They are my company's PR firm. Although, that was my first and last game with them for the season (our team won), they are going to be starting up a bowling league! Let's just say I have beat state champions!

Okay, must get geared up for my company's summer outing at Kimball Farm -- CC Olympics! I'm thinking I should have been on the Ireland team; instead, I'm on team Russia. And just so we know, I have my golf clubs in the car and I will be playing a bit of golf there this afternoon. Need to get in a few more swings before the season is over.
