Tales from the South End
okay, well really this is just a spot for me to ramble on about random topics

I wasn't kidding when I said I wouldn't have time to blog. Withdrawals? Complaints? Whatever the reason, I feel compelled to blog.

The move is complete (although, we seem to still have a few too many couches now) We spent Sunday evening rearranging the loft - 6 times! How many lesbians does it take to reorganize? Just 6 and a bottle of wine. ha, ha, ha. Thanks to everyone who helped out ;)

I finally have a haircut that I can live with... and my girl now has curly hair... and it's naturual. Who knew? She is quite stunning, don't you think?

I have posted some new pics: http://sstrixie.com/pics/gina_amanda/?mode=2&offset=&limit=12

Ran into Mr. Bator-Bator this morning. They are back from the honeymoon!! I can't wait to hear all about Iceland! Woo-hoo!

Okay, my files have now re-based and I need to get back to work. Ciao!

You know it's obscenely early when you get to the office and even those who work-out at 5AM are not in the office yet. Ah, the joys of a dot.com.

On other news... the moving company is coming tomorrow. Perhaps I should finish packing? ooops!

Had breakfast at Mul's Diner this morning. Outstanding! We managed to get a bit of packing done in the South End today and brought up a load of things. I didn't think I really had that much stuff, I think I underestimated. Goodwill will be very pleased with me again!

What a gorgeous day outside. We even managed to find visitor parking the day before the big race. Now that's something to write home about.

And a big congratulations goes out to Jason & Julia... I mean Joe & Julia ...on becoming man & wife. It was a fabulous wedding. And only Joe & Julia could conjure up the "international media" on their wedding day.

Okay, off to do some more unpacking, then back to the grind tomorrow morning.

Okay, I am pre-warning you all that I may not have time to blog for the next couple of weeks. I seem to thrive among chaos! Here's the low-down my faithful readers.

1) New release of Constant Contact (May 1st)
2) Two weddings to juggle this Saturday
3) Moving to South Boston next week (thankfully, I never really fully unpacked)
4) Dealing with the hassle of getting my car fixed and suffering with a 4 cylinder vehicle.
5) Taxes due tomorrow.
6) Oh and finding time to sleep.

So there you have it, my itinerary for the next couple of weeks. Wish me luck.

Well, looks like I'll be driving a sassy '04 Toyota Corrolla for the next two weeks while "Miss Anthony" is getting a front end cleanup from the accident.

NEED CHOCOLATE! NEED CAFFEINE! NEED SLEEP!

We are still scheduled to launch on May 1st. Thankfully, just a week after that, we'll be in sunny Miami. Woo-hoo! Oh and my baby is going into the shop tomorrow.

Okay, my break is over. Back to the grind.

Got into a car accident this morning. And no, I am NOT joking!

I was coming off the Pike at the 95 interchange and the guy in front of me started to go, then changed his mind and stopped. I looked and saw that there was ample time to proceed; however, I didn't check to see if the yutz had gone. CRUNCH. My car slid under his bumper. Fortunately, the air bag did not deploy and it's still drivable (at least I think so -- waiting for insurance company to estimate damage). The hood is crunched up about 5 inches & my poor license plate is stuffed under the bumper. And thankfully, I am okay. My neck was stiff this morning anyhow; so this didn't help, but I have a call into the doctor's office now. Drugs will be helpful.

So on with my day I go...

Walked out this morning with just a fleece vest on. I didn't realize it was just 33 degrees. Thank god for heated seats.

Bought 4 custom made shirts Saturday afternoon. I'm done with having to spend hours shopping for that "one" special shirt that actually fits properly in the chest, arms and my girlish figure! Although, you'll have to wait 6-8 weeks for pics. My measurements are somewhere on another continent being tossed from tailor to tailor.

Saturday night, we attended a dinner party at my boss' house to celebrate Nichole (co-worker/friend) & Paul's engagement (getting married April 17th). We were in charge of an appetizer so we brought a nice assortment of sushi. It was a big hit and everyone simply converged where the sushi travelled. It's like having your yankee-swap gift be the most sought after.

Okay, off to buy a new office chair. Yes, my back & neck are STILL bugging me.

It's April 1st. It's raining and windy, yet it's a time for new beginnings.
