1995 Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame
After an exhausting week at work (two days of intensive project management training), I drove up to NH, complete, with a picnic dinner for Amanda and I. We decided to open the La Grand e Dame that I bought at New Year's.
I think Wine Spectator's review says it all... Score 94 “This very distinctive Champagne is bold and complex, exhibiting roasted elements of toasted bread, nuts and coffee, along with dried fruit and citrus nuances. The structure is firm and fresh, with a superlong finish evoking walnuts.”
Mmmm... It's clear that this is what we'll be drinking at the wedding (well at least for the head tables)!
